Nakhchivan State University is a public university located in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Azerbaijan. Founded in 1967 as a part of the Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute, in 1990 it became the Nakhchivan State University.

Nakhchivan State University occupies a special place among other universities in Azerbaijan. The university campus of 108 hectares area includes modern teaching buildings with all kinds of facilities. The electronic rooms, labs, internet centers, and an electronic library, equipped with modern information technologies at the university serve teaching staff and students. At present on 47 specialties in 11 faculties about 5 thousand students are studying in Nakhchivan State University. Highly qualified specialists are getting their higher education in bachelor, master and doctoral levels. More than 200 foreign students from around 10 countries are studying at Nakhchivan State University.
