Jordan has joined the eTwinning Plus

The relationship between the European Union and Jordan started back in 2002 and since then, many mutually beneficial initiatives have taken place. In 2012, eTwinning Plus was launched as a project to provide a platform for schools from countries from Europe’s immediate neighborhood, to link with schools participating in eTwinning. To strengthen this relationship, as of February 2018 Jordan has become the newest country involved in eTwinning Plus. Teachers from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, part of the Eastern Partnership and Tunisia, part of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership have been actively involved in the eTwinning community. Teachers in Jordan, which is part of the Euro-Mediterranean partnership, can now register in eTwinning Plus, take part in projects, enroll in the different Continuing Professional Development opportunities and enjoy the full eTwinning Plus experience.

Universitas 21 ranking 2018-in GDP-adjusted ranking

The Universitas 21 rankings are created by a global consortium of research universities to compare the performance of whole countries, as an alternative to other rankings that focus on individual institutions. The rankings are based on 24 separate variables, including the number and impact of research articles produced, university enrolment and graduate unemployment, a qualitative assessment of a country’s policy environment, and spending on tertiary education as a proportion of GDP. Finland’s universities are the highest performing in the world when countries’ levels of economic development are taken into account, according to a ranking of national higher education systems.
