her Education Summit introductory meeting was held at Intercontinental Istanbul Hotel. EURIE will be held at Istanbul Halic Congress Center on February 17-19, 2016 and will bring the world’s most prestigious universities, academics, and representatives of leading higher education sector. Rectors, vice rectors, international relations directors and representatives were informed about EURIE Eurasian Higher Education Summit during the meeting.
Participants to the meeting, which was hosted by EURAS- Eurasia Universities Union, included Istanbul University Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmut AK, Bogazici University Rector Prof. Dr. Gulay BARBAROSOGLU, Yıldız University Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail YUKSEK, Yeditepe University Rector Prof. Dr. Nuran BAC, Istanbul Technical University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Fuat AYDIN, Sabanci University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sondon Durukan FEYIZ, and international relations directors of Middle East Technical University, Bahcesehir University, Bezmialem Foundation University, Istanbul Kultur University, Kadir Has University, Istanbul Commerce University, Istanbul City University, and Istanbul Aydin University.
Speaking at the meeting, EURAS president Dr. Mustafa AYDIN noted that the participants to the Higher Education Summit include USA, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, Brazil, Russia, South Korea, China and it is also expected that over a thousand representatives from the world’s most prestigious universities will attend the summit. He added that the summit will help increase international academic collaborations and help improve higher education in the region.
After EURAS president Dr. Mustafa Aydin’s speech, opinions and suggestions of rectors, vice rectors, international relations directors who participated at the meeting were taken.
