Coming back to one of the speeches done by EURAS President Dr. Mustafa Aydın would help the sense of Eurasia concept come out once again. It was clearly indicated by him that 70 percent of the world population are currently living in Eurasian region in addition to existence of a great economic capability and natural sources where the energy sources cover three quarters of the known ones globally. Furthermore another important part of his speech w
as consisted of the value of internationalization for the competitive advantage of universities, and the contribution of governments and officials on internationalization process in higher education. Particularly it could be thought of as a crucial quotation that ‘Today there is no higher education institution that does not identify itself as an international or global university’.
As it was quite powerfully pointed out during the speech, it was the idea behind the establishment of EURAS to increase the cooperation in the entire Eurasian region through the higher education institutions for utilizing the potential of the region described above.
