International Film Festival in Adana, Turkey supported by EURAS

EURAS was both in and working at behind the scenes for the 24th International Adana Film Festival in Adana, Turkey. For a whole week straight starting from 25th of September until 1st of October, EURAS’ booth was in the festival area, welcoming visitors and curious invitees. As for the behind the scenes action, EURAS endorsed an awards bracket that many participants attended to.

International Adana Film Festival, previously known as The Golden Boll International Film Festival, is a film festival of Adana, which was held 17 times since 1969 and took place every year since 2005. The event is organized by the Adana Metropolitan Municipality, the scope of the festival is broadened to an international dimension within the framework of the cinema in Mediterranean basin countries.

Eurasia Universities Union as always focused on globalization and international students. Thus, EURAS endorsed and supported an awards bracket for this year’s International Adana Film Festival awards bracket which is “Best International Students’ Short Film”. The awards winners are as follows:

  • The Best Documentary Film: 683 (Canberk Şimşek)
  • The Best Animated Film: Eat, Pray, Bird (Huang Ji, Derrick Fun, Jeremy Teo)
  • The Best Experimental Film: Tablo (Mert İnan)
  • The Best Fiction Film: 3.5 Lira (Hasan Ali Kılıçgün)
